“A public hearing will be held on potentially granting a special use permit for two proposed community solar facilities in the town of Glen.
The Town of Glen Planning Board scheduled a public hearing for a special use permit for Eden Renewables’ two proposed solar projects during their meeting last month. The public hearing will be held on Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the town of Glen office building on 7 Erie St. in Fultonville.
Currently, solar facilities can be built in the town with a special use permit, according to the Chairman of the Planning Board Timothy Reilly. The planning board and town board are working on approving their own solar legislation. The planning board sent their final draft of their proposed solar laws to the town board in May and the town board plans to go through the State Environmental Quality Review Act with the guidance of a SEQR lawyer for the proposed solar legislation before final approval.”
