“Lisa M. Wheeler of Delanson, NY, passed away on September 9, 2016, at Ellis Hospital, with her family at her side, after a long illness. She was 59. Lisa was born in Syracuse, NY in 1956, and lived there until moving to Schenectady in 1977. She was previously employed by New York State, as an animal control officer in Duanesburg, and more recently as a warehouse supervisor for Wal-Mart in Sharon Springs, NY, prior to her retirement last year due to illness. Lisa enjoyed reading, writing, the out of doors, and most of all, animals of all kinds. Over the years Lisa owned or cared for horses, cows, and her beloved dogs and cats. Her greatest joy was spending time outdoors at her home in the country with her fiancé, Paul. Lisa was predeceased by her father, Leslie B. Wheeler. She is survived by her mother, Shirley M. Wheeler; her sister, Deborah Angilletta and her husband, John; her nieces, Amber Angilletta and Sarah Angilletta-Greive and her husband, Todd, all of Scotia NY. She will be especially missed by her fiancé and longtime companion, Paul Donato, of Delanson. Family and friends are invited to call at the White-VanBuren Funeral Home, 1779 Main Street, Delanson, NY, on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glenville, on Wednesday, September 14, 2016.
