“Duanesburg residents will be discussing solar energy on Wednesday night.
The Christ Episcopal Church is hosting the Sensible Solar Summit. The group hosting the event says towns need to think about the impact of solar farms in the future. The group wants to ensure that they don’t become an eyesore. They will also discuss how to decommission them when they are obsolete.
They’ll also be talking about the impact of a solar farm on real estate values. There will be a representative from the Capital District Regional Planning Commission and from UAlbany’s Atmospheric Sciences Research Center.
The meeting is from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.”
