“The Duanesburg Central School District is facing a nearly $200,000 reduction in state aid that officials say can be attributed to changes in the school funding formula laid out in Gov. Kathy Hochul’s proposed state budget.
The proposed changes would result in a $188,818, or 3.5% reduction in foundation aid for the rural school district that relies heavily on state funding to cover operating costs. The proposed changes would bring Duanesburg’s state funding down to $5.1 million for the 2024-25 academic year.”
