“Foreclosed land and a house could become part of the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps headquarters.
The Schenectady County Legislature is considering transferring the tax-foreclosed property at 8374 Duanesburg Road to the agency, which is adjacent to the ambulance corps’ property at 130 Cole Road. The nearly two acres of property, which includes a house, would be used for administrative offices, training space and lodging for first responders, legislators said Friday.
“The building expansion would allow greater training space, a more easily accessible administrative office suite and more comfortable lodging quarters for employees and volunteers in the station,” DVAC Captain Peter Brodie said in the release.
