“A manufacturer of key components for the growing wind energy market is the latest company to call the Rotterdam Corporate Park home.
Jupiter Bach, a Denmark-based company, signed an agreement this week to lease 50,000 square feet of space inside the growing industrial park, the Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority announced Thursday.
The company produces nacelle and spinner covers for wind turbines — key elements that house mechanical units that produce power when the turbine blades rotate.
The company’s move will create 20 jobs locally with potential to increase to 100 jobs down the road as new turbine orders are announced, according to a news release.
“Jupiter Bach is excited to join the vibrant community of Schenectady County. We are very thankful for the warm welcome we have received and are committed to having a positive impact on the surrounding area,” Sean Guidry, general manager for Jupiter Bach, said in a statement.”
