Press Release Indictment Of Nelson Patino

“On January 25, 2022, a Schenectady County Grand Jury handed up an indictment charging Nelson Patino of 6826 Duanesburg Road in the Town of Duanesburg with six counts in connection with the stabbing deaths of his wife Sor Alexandra Bustamante Gomez and his five-year old son Jacob Patino at their home on December 2, 2021. Mr. Patino has been charged with one count of Murder in the First Degree for intentionally killing his wife while also causing the death of his son through intentional conduct as part of the same criminal transaction. He is also charged with two counts of Murder in the Second Degree for intentionally causing the death of each of his victims. He is charged in a fourth count of Attempted Murder for attempting to cause the death of his two-year old son Anthony Patino. In a fifth count Mr. Patino is charged with Assault in the Second Degree for causing physical injury to Anthony Patino with a dangerous instrument. The sixth count is also a charge of Assault in the Second Degree for intentionally causing physical injury to a child less than seven years old.”
