“Montgomery County Planning Board members approved the town’s of Florida Planning Board’s referral for a solar project to be built on Minaville Road.
David Albrecht, of Borrego Solar Systems, attended the county planning board meeting Thursday in an effort to answer questions regarding the solar farm. The 2.8 megawatt project will be located on 5813 Minaville Road in the town of Florida. It will be connected to the local electrical grid on Route 30 and use 8,400 solar panels. The system will be mounted on a system of steel posts and racks.
The site will be secured with an 8-foot chain link fence, and a new gravel road will run through facility. Albrecht said it will be a 20-foot access road.
The project is set back at least 200 feet from all property lines, which meets the town’s setback requirements. Nadler Brothers, Inc, owns the property.”
