“Two long-time residents are running to be mayor of this 377-person village in the town of Duanesburg.
Trustee Gayle Gifford is running against Ronald Holbrook for the four-year post to succeed two-term mayor Sally Burns. The two candidates acknowledge it’s a congenial contest, one in which they both share the same visions for the village but want to provide healthy competition for the job.
