“The public hearing on a request to rezone three recently subdivided portions of the former Pine Brook Golf Club on South Main Street from residential to commercial was continued this week and will remain open later this month as the city’s attorney finalizes language with the applicant regarding the proposed use of the property for construction of a community solar farm.
The Common Council opened the public hearing on Oct. 27 on a petition requesting a change of zoning for three of four parcels that were recently created through the subdivision of the 155-acre former Pine Brook Golf Club at 280 S. Main St.
The subdivision approved by the Planning Board in October resulted in the creation of a 57-acre lot at the center of the property, a 2-acre parcel encompassing the area surrounding the former clubhouse building, a 1.46-acre parcel to be combined with the neighboring Antonucci Foods property at 274 S. Main St. and a 91-acre parcel running along the perimeter of the property.”
