” am heartbroken to announce that Walter V Dixon Jr, age 76, husband of Mary L Wingrove, passed away after complications from knee replacement surgery, on Tuesday 2/20/24 at Saddleback Memorial Hospital, Laguna Hills, CA.Walter (Chip) was the son of the late Walter V Dixon Sr and Dorothy Beauregard Dixon. Those who knew Chip loved and respected the intelligent, generous and kind person that he was. Chip resided in Delanson, NY for 38 years and Mission Viejo, CA for 12 years. Missing him and living on are his two sons Walter (Jennifer) and Dana (Stacy); two stepdaughters Jennifer (Andre), Laura (Jonathan); stepson Gregory (Kate); 6 grandsons Tristan, Gabriel, AJ, Wesley, Chase, Zeke; 3 granddaughters Alexandria, Emma and Ella.The family will be having a private celebration of Chip’s life.”
