Obituary: Phillip Ruggiero

“Phillip M. Ruggiero Delanson – Phillip M. Ruggiero, 57 passed away on Wednesday January 10, 2024 at his home.
Born in Troy, he was the son to the late Donald Ruggiero and Dorothy Seabury Ruggiero and the loving husband to Janet VanAuken Ruggiero.
Phillip was the owner operator of Nico’s Pizzeria, the Rooftop Tavern and the Union Inn in Schenectady for over 30 years. He is loved and will be missed by everyone.
In addition to his wife Janet, he is survived by his sisters Marie (Ronald) Park and Carla (John) Nolan, his step children Kristian Teal and Hunter Wilcox, his grandchildren Lilly Mortimore, Gabriell Mortimore and Ternian Tooley, his sister-in-law Penny (Jarome) Wheeler, his nieces Lauren Nolan and Alicia VanAuken, his nephews Ryan Nolan and Allen Wright, also survived by many friends.
Family and friends are invited and may call from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at the Wynantskill Funeral Home, 294 Whiteview Road, Wynantskill. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Schenectady Memorial Park. “
