“The Duanesburg Town Board on Thursday voted unanimously to exceed the state’s 2% property tax cap for the upcoming fiscal year — marking the fifth time in six years lawmakers have taken such action.
The town’s proposed $2.6 million proposed budget for the 2024 fiscal year calls for an 8.3% increase, or $206,141 in spending compared to the current spending plan of $1.9 million. A bulk of the new spending can be attributed to an increase in ambulance services”
