“Katherine Van Wie, 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, June 20, 2023. Born in Clifton Park, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth Shultis. Katherine is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Merton Van Wie.
Katherine graduated from Duanesburg High School. Shortly after, she and her husband created A-1 Wagon in Duanesburg out of their own necessity and turned it into a large successful business where they delivered bulk water all over the Northeast for commercial and residential needs. They excelled in customer service and satisfaction until their retirement in 2000.”
