“The Schenectady County Legislature is seeking input on a proposal to reopen the former Duanesburg YMCA for the first time in more than three years.
A public hearing, scheduled for Wednesday, will address plans for a public-private partnership through which the county will purchase the property for $1.8 million and then sell it for $900,000 to a Schoharie County couple that plans to operate a fitness facility inside the 26,000-square-foot space. The proposal could be approved by the full legislature on July 11.”
