December 21, 2022 by l

EDIT: Janaury 31, 2023 The link to the NYSIR queue provides a 404 error message.

Some information for the NYSIR queue to National Grid, Con Edison, Central Hudson, Orange and Rockland, NYSEG and RG&E, and PSEG LI utilities may be found here:
https://dps.ny.gov/distributed-generation-informationIt appears that the queues provided contain similar information as the prior web url.

Learn about the energy facility in your backyard by accessing the New York Public Service Commission Standardized Interconnection Requirements (the “NYSIR”) queue for energy projects less than 20-MWac nameplate capacity.

Find the source data at:
https://www3.dps.ny.gov/W/PSCWeb.nsf/All/286D2C179E9A5A8385257FBF003F1F7E

Select the utility company that services your town.

Download the data as an .xcel file

Open the spreadsheet and sort the data by county and town to find energy projects that may be under review for your town.

During the project’s application process, requests that the applicant provide the Coordinated Electric System Interconnection Review (CESIR).

Use the information found to fill-in the How to Track a Project Spreadsheet.

Remember that projects may be constructed in one town, county and connect to a substation in a different town, county. To follow a project read the agenda, minutes and submit Freedom of Information to the town, county where the energy facility is being constructed.
