Richard B. Murray, 76, passed away suddenly on August 3rd, 2021.
Richard grew up on his family farm and graduated from Duanesburg High School in 1963. He worked at WMHT Channel 17 as an engineer prior to starting Murray Avionics, Inc. in 1977. Richard owned and operated Oak Hill Farms Cross Country Ski Center since 1984. He was a former president of the Duanesburg Business Association, former member of the Cobleskill Eagles and a member of the Esperance Elks.
Richard enjoyed working on the farm and was a true do it yourselfer. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling.
Richard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Helen Murray; sons, Christopher (Kim) and Robert (Kristy Ganance); grandchildren, Maxwell, Brynnlee and Westlyn; brothers, John (Gladys) and Robert; sister, Leslie (Ray) Calvin; many nieces and nephews. Richard was predeceased by his sisters, Beverly (George) Choisy and Yvonne Munro and sister-in-law, Marilyn Murray.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 14th, from 2pm to 5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie , NY. Private Interment.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Richard’s name to a charity of your choice.”
