The Priority Guidance Plan is used by the IRS and Treasury Department each year to identify and prioritize tax issues to be addressed through regulations, revenue rulings, revenue procedures, notices, and other published administrative guidance.
The 2020-2021 Priority Guidance Plan will identify guidance projects that the IRS and Treasury Department intend to work on as priorities during the period from July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021. Recommendations for guidance items to be included in the initial iteration of the 2020-2021 Priority Guidance Plan are requested to be submitted by July 22, 2020. “
