“Seven sheep died as a result of the barn fire that broke out early Tuesday morning, said Jessica Gathen Quaker Street Fire Company president.
Multiple fire crews were dispatched to a barn fire at West Shore Road. Upon arrival crews found a fully involved barn fire with the building already partially collapsed, Gathen added.
“We don’t know how long it was burning before we actually got the call. A lot of the animals did get out unfortunately we lost seven sheep,” she said.
When NEWS10 crews arrived to the scene shortly before 5 a.m., the fire was mostly put out. Crews were still working to put out hot spots.
The Duanesburg and Delanson and fire departments as well as the Quaker Volunteer fire department responded to the scene.”
