“12/17 Neighbourhood Plan
At his request Mr Maruca was permitted to speak to Council on the subject of Neighbourhood Plans. Mr Maruca stated his belief that Crondall was ripe for development by irresponsible developers and that in 18 months to 2 years’ time the village would be a ‘hot-spot’ for development. Mr Maruca felt the infrastructure locally was unable to cope with additional development and he believed that a Neighbourhood Plan would be helpful in highlighting the issues. The Chairman advised that the Parish Council were in the process of discussing the possibility of leading on a Neighbourhood Plan, however this involved a considerable amount of work and expense. There followed a discussion of the status of Hart’s Local Plan and the role of Neighbourhood Plans, their governance, costs and processes etc. Cllr Argent pointed out that this item was not on the Agenda and the Chairman confirmed that no decisions could be made at this meeting.”
